Create visual impact for your business on social media.
Facebook and Instagram on the Meta Ads platform gives your business the ability to display your products or services in visually-effective ways that other ad platforms might not or can not. It offers compelling story telling through the emphasis on your visual creatives, with your ad text providing the additional layers of messaging to give your audience stronger considerations to engage further.
Like Google Ads, Meta Ads offers a range of different ad types that can be useful to your business in a number of ways. They include:
- Image - perfect for simple ads that can deliver to the point that stops the scrolling in its tracks, especially where attention is short-lived.
- Video - show off your product, service, or brand in new ways. Use movement and sound to help capture attention quickly.
- Carousel - showcase your product or service across two or more images and videos in a single ad, highlighting features or benefits.
- Collection - offer a series of products to your customers on Meta to encourage them to move from discovery to purchase.
Which ad type you use will depend on your objectives and target audience.
Your business in your customer’s feed. Locally or globally.
The benefits of Meta ads allows you to be front in centre of your potential customer’s personal feed. With several targeting controls available on the platform, you can be precise on which target audiences you want to show up for, and which ads they will see. Meta’s large active base of ~3.6 billion users daily across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, means your business can find customers almost anywhere in the world.
Whether you are looking for prospecting opportunities to find new leads and customers, utilising remarketing options to re-engage website visitors that did not complete a key action, or selling more products online, there are options to suit your needs.

Meta Ads can be a useful tool to your business when you're looking for opportunities to scale and grow. These are some questions you might have about the platform.
Should I run Meta Ads as well as Google Ads?
For many businesses, having Meta Ads running alongside their Google Ads campaigns can be very effective at achieving a wider reach to your potential customers. Meta Ads are also effective at amplifying the marketing your customers have seen from other platforms, which can be the factor at what gets you that lead or sale.
For some businesses, Meta Ads can be more impactful at delivering results than Google Ads alone.
How much does it cost to run Meta Ads?
For many businesses, they can start on $10 a day and scale up as the results show themselves.
If you need to reach a large audience like all of New Zealand for example, you will need to consider a daily budget of $100+.
Who you want to reach, and where, will ultimately impact what you might need to plan for with your spending budget. Certain audiences might have minimum daily spends set by Meta directly, or are not eligible for advertising.
When can I start to see results?
For most businesses, results can start showing up within days. When campaigns are launched, they often enter a ‘learning period’ which can last up to 6-8 weeks. This is where the algorithm learns more about your ideal customer base, and how the ads can reach them effectively with your advertising budget.
Ongoing optimisations when the campaigns are actively managed (i.e. not set and forget) will also play a part on the deliverability of results as the ads can be tweaked to a point during the learning period to help you get results faster.
What is the Meta Pixel, and why do I need one?
The Meta Pixel (previously known as the Facebook Pixel) is a small piece of code that gets added on to your website or booking system with a Meta Pixel integration. It allows Meta to understand what happens after the user has clicked on your ad and landing on your website or booking page. You can then use specific events it captures to optimise your Meta campaigns for specific objectives, such as purchases, leads, or bookings.
Some additional tracking setup might be required to get some of these tracking options for your campaigns.
